We visited Odaiba first.

We took the Yurikamome line from Aomi to Odaiba-kaihin-koen.


This is controlled by computer and is fully automatic!


At Decks Tokyo Beach, they got VERY excited with Ghibli stuff.

Anyway, we arrived in Asakusa.

As they visited the Sensoji Temple on the previous day, we skipped the temple and headed for Tokyo Sky Tree by the Tobu Line (one stop from Asakusa).


Ta-da!!!!!


Well, first of all, we visited the Sumida Aquarium.

They really enjoyed seeing the goldfish with afro-hairstyle. LOL
(*The true name seems "tancho goldfish")



Hmm. They are cute! I love them. :)


Now, let's go up to the tower!!



Here is the highest point! 451.2 meters (1,480 ft).






We enjoyed the night view as well and came down after dark. It was such a fun tour!! Thank you for coming to Tokyo. I'm looking forward to your next visit. :)

Seeing Mt. Fuji from Tokyo

Hi Travelers, this is Kumi. 2-23 (February 23) could sound /fu-ji-san/ in Japanese, so this is the Mount Fuji Day as well as the Emperor's Birthday! (*This photo was taken from the airplane from Tokyo/Haneda to Hiroshima.) Let me tell you where you can see Mt. Fuji from Tokyo. This is the article from my Kindle book "Tokyo Photo Locations." Shochu-mimai & Zansho-mimai (summer greetings)

Do you send summer greetings in your country? Though not all Japanese people do this, we have a culture to send summer greeting cards. Until the end of July, it's called " Shochu-mimai " (the meaning is something like "I care you during these hot days") and from August 1, it's called " Zansho-mimai " (the meaning is something like "I care you while the heat is still remaining"). I don't like summer, but these summer cards have been making me very happy. :)
