On June 10, 2016, I saw this beautiful couple at the top of One World Trade Center in NYC. As they were really beautiful with the sunset, I just couldn't help taking some photos of them. And after I saw the photos, I couldn't help talking to them. To my surprise, it was right after he proposed her!!!! They said they were thinking about coming to Japan, so we became friends on FB and finally, they came to Japan!!

Our tour started at Tokyo Sky Tree.

We got on a futuristic boat!

Then enjoyed walking around Venus Fort.

Then we took Yurikamo line to Shiodome station, changed to Oedo line to Tochomae station. This is the view from Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.

We took Oedo line to Higashi-shinjuku, changed to Fukutoshin line to visit Shibuya. This is the very famous intersection!


We enjoyed very casual sushi.


It was a fantastic day!! We are planning to explore Kamakura together.

Shochu-mimai & Zansho-mimai (summer greetings)

Do you send summer greetings in your country? Though not all Japanese people do this, we have a culture to send summer greeting cards. Until the end of July, it's called " Shochu-mimai " (the meaning is something like "I care you during these hot days") and from August 1, it's called " Zansho-mimai " (the meaning is something like "I care you while the heat is still remaining"). I don't like summer, but these summer cards have been making me very happy. :)

Seeing Mt. Fuji from Tokyo

Hi Travelers, this is Kumi. 2-23 (February 23) could sound /fu-ji-san/ in Japanese, so this is the Mount Fuji Day as well as the Emperor's Birthday! (*This photo was taken from the airplane from Tokyo/Haneda to Hiroshima.) Let me tell you where you can see Mt. Fuji from Tokyo. This is the article from my Kindle book "Tokyo Photo Locations."
