How to enjoy NRT as avgeeks

Image
*This article is for aviation geeks and people who are quite interested in airplanes. Hello, travelers. This is Kumi . Picturesque Japan Blog welcomes you to Narita Airport. A special photo shooting event was held at a restricted area of Narita Airport on July 28. The event was organized by  NAA , Narita City, and the aviation photographer,  Charlie Furusho , who has a Guinness World Record for flying with 156 different airlines. The participants really enjoyed this precious opportunity. The runway is SO close!!! The distance to the airplanes may be similar to Ditmars Blvd near LGA. (*These photos were taken in January 2015 near Planeview Park in Jackson Heights, NYC. 8.6F/-13C. Brrrrrrrr!!) However, the huge difference is you're in the restricted area!!! That makes you feel privileged!!! Also, we visited JAL's hanger where we were allowed to take amazing photos of B787!!! (*Not allowed to upload them though.) That was really a breath...

Where to buy a yukata

Hello, travelers. This is Kumi . Picturesque Japan Blog welcomes you to The World of Yukata. “Where can I buy a yukata?” This is a question I often hear from my guests, and I did some research about this. However, before talking about the shops, let me talk about some basic information about yukata. First of all, do you know the differences between yukata and kimono? If I write down the difference very simply, it may look like this. (*Not always applicable to all the products though) yukata : inexpensive, casual, nice for summer, easier to put on kimono : expensive, formal, all seasons, very difficult to put on (you need to take lessons) Perhaps, some of you already know the difference and chose to buy a yukata. Okay. That’s a good start! Yet, you should know a little more fact about yukata. Do you think anyone can put on an authentic yukata without any practice? If so, please check out these YouTube videos by UNIQLO UK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=km5y...
